Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was released from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York today, Friday, after a successful stent placement operation, which he underwent last Wednesday.
Cheerful and accompanied by the Archbishop of America Elpidoforos and the Bishop of Medea Apostolos, the Patriarch thanked the Greek community for the interest he showed in the adventure of his health.
The Ecumenical Patriarch will remain in New York for another 24 hours and will leave for Istanbul on Sunday afternoon, with Turkish Airlines, accompanied by the doctor of George Syros.
