In the Citizen 107.6 and 97.6 Patrina Taramidou, Head of Policy and European Institutions at the Ministry of Interior, spoke, explaining what is changing in the plans for residents of mountainous – disadvantaged areas as well as remote areas. According to Ms. Taramidou, the projects start on April 4 and “the aim of the evaluation of the projects was to make them more attractive”, while she said that today there are two projects, the first concerning the mountainous/disadvantaged areas and the second concerning the remote areas.

According to her, greater interest was expressed for the remote areas adjacent to the confrontation zone. In this context, she explained that the basic condition of the first plan is the construction of a house for self-residence or purchase of a house, so the provincial administration carries out audits in order to comply with the set criteria. He explained that “we consider mountainous and disadvantaged areas equal to or above 500 meters and 40 km distance from the city, while the population should not exceed 500 inhabitants. Finally, he stated that depending on the family structure, they can receive from 25 thousand to 85 thousand euros.
In general, the plans are two: The first: Mountainous, Acritic and Disadvantaged areas, which is divided into three geographical areas? (a) critical, (b) mountainous and disadvantaged, and (c) extremely mountainous and extremely small and remote, and second: Specific rural areas.
