In the context of the investigation of the incidents that took place in Limassol, on the evening of May 24, 2023, after the end of the Final Cup, between the AEL teams – OMONIA, the Police are asking for information that can help identify and/or locate the persons pictured. the TAE Limassol, on the phone 22-805057 or with the Citizen's Line, on the phone number 1460 or with the nearest Police Station.
The incidents took place around 11pm, when a group of about 60 people, who were gathered outside the building of the AEL Fans' Association, attacked policemen, throwing firecrackers, flares and Molotov cocktails at them.
The police managed to repel the attackers by using tear gas. However, during their departure, the above persons set fire to trash cans, while they also set fire to a car parked in the area. Damage was also caused to a second car.
During the incident, a member of the Police was injured in the leg by a flare.
