A new sponsorship plan for the installation of a photovoltaic system for charging an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid vehicle (2022) has been approved by the Council of Ministers.

A € 1.5 million sponsorship plan for the installation of a photovoltaic system for charging an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle was approved today by the Council of Ministers following a proposal by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Ms. Natasa Pileidou.

The Plan is part of the Government's efforts to promote e-mobility and sustainable transport in general and is part of the Strategy for Rapid Transition to Green Energy. In addition to the installation of the photovoltaic system, it provides the possibility to the beneficiaries to purchase and install a charger, convert the electrical installation of the house from single-phase to three-phase and purchase a battery to store the energy that will be produced by the photovoltaic system. The beneficiaries of the plan are natural persons living in a home and owning an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Based on the proposal of Ms. Pileidou, the Plan, which will be implemented by the RES and FDI Fund, has retroactive effect from February 1, 2022 and will remain open until 20/12/2023 or until the available budget is exhausted. The start date for applications will be announced by the Fund's Management Committee in the near future. 1500. Optional costs are funded as follows:

– & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Purchase, charger installation, € 600.

– & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Conversion of electrical installation of the house from single-phase to three-phase, € 450.

– & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Purchase/installation of a battery, € 750 per KW, with a maximum sponsorship amount per application of € 2000. to the EU.
