“Polar” cold with -9 degrees tonight in Troodos – Yellow warning from the Department of Meteorology

A new yellow warning, this time for extremely low temperatures, was issued by the Meteorological Department, announcing that the temperature in the highest peaks of the Troodos will drop to -9 degrees Celsius.

The warning is valid from 10:00 tonight until 8:00 on Thursday morning.

“The minimum temperature in the highest peaks of the Troodos is expected to drop to around minus 9 degrees Celsius,” it said.
