According to him, the case was secured against a 49-year-old woman, who was arrested on February 9 on suspicion of forgery, circulation of a forged document and attempting to obtain registration with false representations, and on Thursday a three-day court order was secured.

According to Mr. Andreou, the 49-year-old allegedly presented documents for vehicles that were imported from foreign countries, according to which these vehicles were not hit, when in fact they were hit.

Answering another question, the Police spokesman said that “it seems that we are investigating at first a case concerning – so far at least – three cars, which seem to have been imported to the Republic of Cyprus beaten and for which he tried to register them in the Republic that they were not beaten. “

“We are in the very early stages. Testimonies of other persons may also arise during the investigation. “There is always this possibility,” he added.

Asked if people from TOM are also involved, Mr. Andreou said that “at this stage, with these data that we have in front of us, all the possibilities are definitely being investigated”.

Asked if there would be further arrests, the police spokesman replied that “if there is any testimony for any other people, we will proceed with arrests.”
