This is the announcement

Kition Ocean Holdings (Kition) wishes to express its deepest respect for Parliament and its proceedings. We regret the misunderstanding that led to our non-attendance at the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Communications and Works meeting. This incident does not indicate our intentions, nor do we wish it to be taken as an indication of a lack of respect for the Corps or our commitment to the work.

We were informed about the invitation to the Parliamentary Committee yesterday morning, after it was reported in the media. By that time, it was too late to attend in person. We attempted to participate remotely, however, this was not possible.

Kition Ocean Holdings is committed to full transparency and constructive dialogue with all stakeholders, including Members of Parliament. We want to make it clear that we are ready to meet the Commission at any time in the near future. Our team is ready to participate in further discussions, of any form, with the aim of facilitating and restoring productive cooperation.

We remain committed to the successful implementation of the Larnaca port and marina restructuring project. Kition Ocean Holdings wishes to maintain a spirit of cooperation to achieve common goals and ensure the success of the project, which is important not only for our company, but also for the economic and social spectrum of Larnaca and Cyprus more broadly.
