The Health Insurance Agency announced that it was circulating a malicious e-mail entitled “GESY: Third dose of mRNA vaccine against COVID-19” with apparent sender [email protected].
The Agency informs the public that this email is false and has not been sent by or on behalf of the Agency or any other official body.
The public is encouraged to avoid opening this e-mail and to delete it immediately in order to avoid possible interception of users' data or other unpleasant effects from possible infection of their computers with malware.
It is noted that, due to the dual identification factor process (username / key number + code via SMS) that is applied for access to the GESS Web Portal, there is no immediate risk of leakage of the Personal Data of the Portal users.
The Agency has already informed the Digital Security Authority (DPA) about this incident.
