Anyone who assumes the duties of an envoy for the Cyprus issue on behalf of the United Nations should work within the framework of the orders given by the Secretary General of the international organization on the basis of the UN resolutions, said the President of the Republic , Nikos Anastasiadis, responding to journalists during his arrival at an event for DISY's 46th anniversary, in Eleftherias Square, Nicosia.
He noted that he does not know who will take over the role of the envoy, but said that “that I know, it will definitely be an official serving the United Nations,”, adding that “what matters is that whoever takes over should act within the framework of orders which the Secretary General has based on the UN resolutions.
