The president of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, surrounded by his family, exercised his right to vote at the Laniteo Lyceum.
In statements after the voting, he said, among other things, that "this is the duty of each of us to be next to the new president. I call on the people to participate en masse in this process, regardless of feelings, unaffected by their own criteria».
He repeated that «I will always be present and whenever intervention is needed it will be with a positive approach».  ;
Asked about the post of Kate Cleridis and the accusations against him « I don't want to comment on obscenities, what some tried to pass on to the people. Of course, (feel) bitterness. Because you have a name, don't even honor it.
