Significant reforms, policies and development projects, with a total budget of over 315 million euros have been planned by the Government under the “Cyprus – Tomorrow” Plan in the field “Welfare State – Exclusive Society”.
According to information, this targeted planning and the implementation schedules of the Government were discussed extensively and thoroughly in a wide-ranging meeting with the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis together with the competent ministers and the involved services.
The same information states that at the same time there was a review of the implementation of the government program from 2013 onwards in this policy pillar in relation to the reforms, policies and national strategies adopted as well as the related development actions, especially in terms of concerns the implementation of the EUSR, the benefit policy, the support of the low-income pensioners, the vulnerable groups of the population, the people with disabilities, the provision of assistance to children, women and the family as well as the wider housing policy.
< p class = "text-paragraph"> At the same time, information was provided on future actions that have been launched and are not part of the “Cyprus – Tomorrow” Plan.
The President of the Republic, as has already been announced, will hold a relevant press conference next week analyzing the above regarding the section “Welfare State – Society without exclusions” and the goal of of the “Cyprus – Tomorrow” Plan, while he will also inform about the already produced project based on his program announcements during his promotion to the Presidency.
Similar planning will take place in the following weeks and months in order to give a complete picture to the civil society about the provisions of the “Cyprus – Tomorrow” Plan and how they will be implemented but also to make the citizens share the work done by the Government.
