The President of the Republic answered in writing, but not to all the questions of the deputies in relation to his first trip to the Seychelles that took place on 3 to 13 August 2015.
The four-page letter of President Anastasiadis submitted yesterday at the meeting of the Parliamentary Audit Committee does not contain important “details” related to the real cost of the trip, expenses and actions of the President upon his arrival in the Seychelles, said opposition lawmakers , requesting evidence.
In the President's letter, the statement stands out that “regarding the question of whether I have any relationship with a business or financial institution or organization, myself or my family members in the Seychelles, I want to state categorically that I have never had any relationship or have I therefore reject malicious allegations accordingly. ” The President called on Members “to show the utmost respect and to avoid even being perceived as adopting misleading, imaginary or distorting news, information or comments”.
