The Indian mutation of the virus was detected in another 74 samples of positive individuals, according to information received by the Ministry of Health from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
The Ministry of Health has been informed about the results of sequencing of SARS – CoV-2 virus strains (sequencing) in samples of positive individuals, which were sent for processing in a specialized laboratory abroad through the ECDC program.
Specifically, the sequencing was successful and the virus variant was detected in 74 samples. The analysis concerns samples from all Provinces, with sampling dates from 5 to 18 July.
All 74 samples identified the delta variant (Indian strain).
