In a moving movement of humanity, Prince Charles proceeded to the Greeks affected by the fire, just 24 hours after the catastrophic fires that burned many areas of our country.
Unable to forget his roots (s.s. his father, Prince Philip, was originally from Greece) he donated to people who saw their fortunes turn to ashes. The amount of the donation is not known.
According to the Star news bulletin, the heir to the British throne deposited a large amount of money in the account of the Greek Red Cross. “We are extremely grateful for this kind of donation. It means a lot for the dedicated volunteers and the staff of the ECA but also for the Greek people, whom we will help. “We are working hard to support those who have been affected at this difficult time, as the fire has affected more than 70,000 of our fellow citizens,” said ECA President Antonis Avgerinos.
