Charles's post for the documentary on the occasion of his father
The documentary titled “Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers” will premiere on September 22
At the age of 99, Prince Philip breathed his last and the news shocked not only the palace, but the whole of Britain. As it was revealed a few months later, Queen Elizabeth's husband did not lose his sense of humor even at the last minute – a fact that is confirmed by the new BBC documentary, which is dedicated to him.
More specifically, in the documentary called “Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers” which will premiere on September 22, his son, Prince Charles, remembers the last conversation he had with him the day before he died, while during the episode we see other royals talking about the prince.
As he said, Karolos wanted to talk to his father about the party that would be prepared for his 100th birthday. Then Prince Philip humorously said to him “I must be alive for this, right ?!” and then, one day after the tragic said, he let out his last breath.
Referring to his grandfather, Prince Harry said during the filming of the documentary that Philip was just himself without apologizing, while at the same time offering great support to his wife, Queen Elizabeth. “From my grandmother's point of view, having someone by your side for 73 years of marriage – does not get better than that.”
It should be noted that on the occasion of the release of the documentary, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, made a relevant post on their official Instagram account. Posting a video of rare material from royal life, they revealed that several members of the royal family share their memories with Prince Philip.
