The Government has nothing to do with the independent institution of the Attorney General, said the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis.
Invited by the journalists to comment on the developments surrounding the issue with the Central Prisons and the decision of the General Prosecutor's Office not to prosecute the Police officer, President Anastasiades specifically stated: "The Government has nothing to do with the independent institution of the General Prosecutor".
President Anastasiades' statement was made on Friday, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the National Guard Officers' Club, which is located at the Kostakis Pantelidis camp, in Nicosia.
