Public consultation on mandatory electronic invoicing

Public consultation on mandatory electronic invoicing

In the context of e-invoicing, the Ministry of Innovation Research & Digital Policy has launched a public consultation in order to make e-invoicing mandatory in all B2G transactions.

The rationale is that the mandatory electronic invoicing starts at the same time as the implementation of the business planning system (ERP) by the General Accounting Office, ie from 1/1/2022. For a smoother transition to e-invoicing from the market, mandatory e-invoicing for contracts above a certain amount is expected to be implemented, which is expected to be determined by the Council of Ministers and which will be reviewed after consultation with the General Accounting Office and decision of the Council of Ministers.

At the link below you can find the announcement of the public consultation as well as the text of the amending law for comments here.

Those interested can submit their comments / observations on the Bill to the State Department (at email: [email protected]) until 31/3/21.
