A public hearing was set on 26/02 by the Deviations Study Council regarding whether a license will be granted for the Omonia Sports Center in Geri.
Specifically, the Council for the Study of Derogations announced that a Public Hearing will be held for the purpose of examining the application of the Omonia Nicosia Sports Association (LEF / 0446/2019), which concerns the granting of an urban planning permit by way of derogation from the provisions of the closed facilities in block no. 1713, of Φ / Σχ. 30 / 16.W2 and 30 / 24.W1, Section 2, in the Municipality of Geri, in the District of Nicosia. The application was submitted based on the provisions of Article 26 (2) and 26 (3) of the Urban Planning and Spatial Planning (Amending) Law 142 (I) / 99 and the Planning and Spatial Planning (Derogations) Regulations of 1999 (K.D. P. 309/99).
The Public Hearing, which is a form of public debate and consultation between stakeholders, aims to ensure conditions of transparency and democracy in the application review process.
The purpose of the hearing is mainly to provide the most complete and accurate information to the Deviation Study Council, so that this body can reach a complete and substantiated suggestion to the Council of Ministers, for the final decision.
The Public Hearing is open to the public and will take place after special approval of the Minister of Health, on Friday 26/02/2021, at 11.00 am, in the room of the GSP Conference Center (tel. No .: 99698647), where All the instructions of the relevant health protocol will be followed, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease. It is noted that, at 10.15 am, there will be a visit to the development site.
