Despite the concerns, the queen appeared for the first time after being admitted to the hospital
A source from the palace stressed that the decision not to attend COP26 was taken as a “reasonable precaution” and then added that the queen is in a very good mood
Queen Elizabeth, 95, will not be attending the start of the big COP26 climate summit in Glasgow next week, and the event raises concerns about her health.
More specifically, the British monarch reportedly decided not to participate in order to rest as suggested by the doctors. “Following a recommendation to rest, the Queen will take up minor duties at Windsor Castle. “Her Majesty unfortunately decided not to go to Glasgow to attend the COP26 reception on Monday, November 1,” the palace said in a statement.
It should be noted, however, that despite questions about the monarch's health, she herself took part in two virtual auditions from her home on Tuesday, October 26, for the first time since spending the night in hospital, and wearing a yellow dress looked fine.
