The average amount of precipitation that fell in the free areas from the 1st to 8:00 am on the morning of January 30 reached 74% of the normal for January, according to preliminary data published on Monday by the Department of Meteorology.
The normal rainfall for the month is 102.4mm, while the average total amount of rainfall recorded since the beginning of the month is 75.4mm, reaching 74%.
During the last three days, according to the Department's data, the most rainfall occurred in Stavros tis Psokas and Kornos with 8.5 millimeters, while the overall average amount of rainfall amounted to 1.6 millimeters.
Regarding the total amount of precipitation that fell from the 1st until 8:00 in the morning of January 30, the largest amount was recorded in Frenaros with 147.2 millimeters (242% of normal), in Platania with 136.1 millimeters ( 72% of normal), at Larnaca airport with 121.8 millimeters (179% of normal anonikis), in Gefyri tis Panagia 118.2 (152% of normal), and in Xylotymbou with 101.8 millimeters (172% of normal).
