The average amount of precipitation that fell in the free areas from the 1st of the month until 8:00 am on the 18th of November reached 36% of the normal amount for the month of November, according to preliminary data published by the Friday, the Department of Meteorology, with the greatest amount of precipitation occurring in the areas of the new port of Limassol and Polis Chrysochous.
According to the data, the average total amount of precipitation in the same period amounted to 19.4 millimeters, while the normal rainfall for the whole month amounts to 53.3 millimeters.
In particular, the largest amount of rainfall during the period in question occurred in the new port of Limassol with 46.4 millimeters which corresponds to 95% of the normal for throughout November, in Polis Chrysochous with 29.2 millimeters (45% of normal), in Stavros tis Psokas with 25.9 millimeters (29% of normal), in Frenaros 25.5 millimeters (60% of normal), and in Saita with 21.2 mm (32% of normal).
In the last 24 hours there was a large amount of rainfall in Athienou with 6.9 millimeters, in Stavros tis Psokas with 6.6 millimeters, in the new port of Limassol with 3.2 millimeters and in Poli with 2.5 millimeters.
