Problem of lack of staff for leisure centers in P. Chrysochous, says SIKAP
Ready to close their businesses and go out on the streets are the owners of leisure centers in Poli Chrysochous, said the President of the Association of Owned Recreation Centers of Paphos (SIKAP), Angelos Onisiforou, on the sidelines of the Association's king cake cutting.
According to an announcement by SIKAP, Mr. Onisiforou said that the entrepreneurs do not have staff to operate their businesses and the applications they have made to secure workers from third countries for three to four months are still pending.
Also, he added, they are asking as the rate of 50% for employment of foreigners from third countries should be increased, because neither Cypriots nor Cypriots are interested in working in the leisure centers. otherwise many businesses will be forced to lock down.
Mr. Onisiforou stated that he contacted the Ministry of Labor by phone and transferred the problems to a competent official, who undertook to inform the Minister .
He also said that efforts are being made to arrange a meeting with the Minister of Labor, in which a delegation of owners of recreation centers in the Polis Chrysochous area will also participate, according to the announcement.
