Recall of chocolate from the Cypriot market – Contains an allergenic ingredient without this being indicated – Update from the Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health informs the consumer public that the Health Services have received relevant information, through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF), according to which, milk chocolate with almonds under the brand name Lacmi which has been released on the Cypriot market, after self-checks by the distribution company in Greece, it has been found to contain the allergenic ingredient “peanut/arachnoid” without this being indicated in the ingredients (list of ingredients) or the precautionary labeling on the Greek language in violation of the current legislation on food labeling.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health transmitted by the GTP, the peanut/peanut is among the allergenic substancesand it can cause health problems in people who are allergic to it.
