The President of the Republic and honored guests at the first presentation of City of Dreams Mediterranean – The guests were guided around the facilities of the multi-thematic resort and tasted top culinary creations
The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis and honored guests had the opportunity to be guided around the < strong>City of Dreams Mediterranean on Monday night, during a reception hosted by the President and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Mr. Lawrence Ho and CNS Group CEO Mr. Melis Siakolas, ahead of the opening of the first European multi-themed resort later this year.
During the event, PtD and the rest of the guests were given a tour of the luxurious facilities of the multi-theme resort and saw up close its innovative architectural design, which makes it a landmark in the wider region, and beyond. They also sampled Melco's top culinary creations, which have been awarded multiple Michelin stars.
PtD was presented with an honorary plaque, while Mr. Ho also presented an inscription, which was placed in the resort grounds, dedicated to President Anastasiades and in his vision to “make the dream come true”.
City of Dreams Mediterranean expected to open its gates of the second quarter of the yearand the goal is to drastically change the data in the hospitality and entertainment sector of Cyprus.
In his speech during the event, the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, expressed his thanks to the consortium Melco and CNS and their managing directors, pointing out that their decision to invest in City of Dreams Mediterranean is a vote of confidence in Cyprus and a recognition of the prospects and potential that our country has in the tourism sector and not only.
“The creation of a multi-thematic resort was one of the goals of the government, as we knew that its creation would contribute to enriching our tourist product, increasing tourist arrivals and creating new jobs, with obvious benefits for the Cypriot economy. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the casino ushers in a new era for our country, opening up new perspectives that strengthen its position on the international tourist map. Major development projects, such as the City of Dreams Mediterranean, are breath-taking projects and a point of reference for the entire place”.
On his part, the Chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Mr. Lawrence Ho,in his speech he referred to his company's vision to create an authentic and unique project, which is an architectural gem and is fully in harmony with the environment, the country and its people.
