According to the CCCI, after the day before yesterday's discussion “and given that, according to data from the Ministry of Labor, there are 10,975 people available for employment, it was decided that those companies wishing to employ staff should immediately submit a specific request to the Public Employment Services, stating the exact number of people who want to employ, while indicating the relevant specialties they are interested in, in order to see if these people have a real interest in filling the vacancies that exist “.

The Chamber, with its circular, directs its members to a specific link of the Labor Department for submitting requests, at the same time inviting companies to notify the CCCI of the number of people who wish to be employed, as well as the specialties for which they will apply to attend. issue with the Ministry of Labor.

As we wrote yesterday, the Minister of Labor called on employers' organizations to provide specific information and requests for the lack of staff they cite, asking at the same time to make an effort to find human resources from Cyprus and the EU – and the Department of Labor – before take any action to expedite the licensing of staff from third countries. In this context, he requested the submission of relevant requests to the Ministry of Labor by the end of next week.

Already, as mentioned, the CCCI has mobilized in this direction, while according to information, OEB, in addition to the online research it conducts to record the needs of companies in human resources, is in contact with its members to promote existing and future needs in Minister.
