Clean Karmiotissa in the replay thanks to goals from Beharano and Doregarai
Nea Salamina beat Karmiotissa 2-0 at the “Ammochostos-Epistrofo” stadium in the game that opened the curtain on the 7th game of the championship. The red and white team with two goals in the second half managed to get their second three points in this year's “marathon”, without impressing particularly.
The Famagusta team scored both goals in the second half with Beharano (51') and Doregarai (71΄') finding the net. The former scored with a header after a corner kick, while the Argentinian doubled his team's goals with a well-placed spot.
So in a game with a good pace the red and whites got a very important three points which raises them to 7th place with 9 points (having a game less). Karmiotissa remains without a win in the league and in the penultimate position of the scoreboard with 2 points.
FIRST HALF:
Kamriotissa came into the game stronger, threatening with Dubia and Theodorou in the first 20 minutes, with Melissa making impressive saves on two occasions. New Salamina had intermittent possession, but without being able to become dangerous.
The red and whites “woke up” after the first 25 minutes when they threatened twice with Miguelito and Doregarai, the first shot was saved by Anesti while the Argentinian forward sent the ball wide.

In the first five minutes of the second half, the pace was not good, with no phases. However, from a set piece, Nea Salamina managed to open the scoring in the 52nd minute with a header. After Narsing's corner kick, the Bolivian headed the ball into the net and made it 1-0. Then Christodoulou's team regained their composure and managed to create more phases, but the second goal did not come. .
From Karmiotissa's side, they looked for a reaction mainly after the 60th minute. The Polemide team pushed for the equalizer and threatened mainly with crosses from the side.
New Salamina tried to become dangerous with counterattacks and managed to score a second goal in the 71st minute with Doregarai finding the net. After a counterattack from the left, Carlitos made the run, Kone sent the ball to the Argentine who did not miss from close range.
The second goal put… a gravestone to any hopes of Karmiotissa for a point gain, who tried with some long shots to threaten but could not find the target.
