The deputies of the Committee of the Interior “broke” them when they reached the points and the critical points for the reform of the local self-government as, as expected, intense disagreements arose.
After the completion of yesterday's debate in Parliament, the three bills with the final amendments will be brought before the plenary for a vote as soon as possible, after the final positions of the parties. Dozens of amendments are expected to be tabled in plenary.
The majority of the deputies of the Committee on Home Affairs yesterday voted in favor of holding referendums in all the municipalities and communities that will be called to join one of the 20 new municipalities that will result from mergers.
