Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited announced to the Stock Exchange the resignation of John Gregory Iossifidis from its Board of Directors.

Specifically it is stated that the Senior Independent Advisor and Member of the Audit and Appointments/Internal Governance Committees of the Board of Directors, John Gregory Iossifidis, has informed the Bank that he will resign from the position of Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank, before the start of the voting of the 50th Annual General Meeting of the Bank's Shareholders on September 18, 2024.

According to Mr. J. G. Iossifidis, his decision to resign comes following the acquisition of a controlling interest in Hellenic Bank by Eurobank S.A., in order to ensure a smooth transition, allowing the new leadership to implement the strategic vision and objectives for the Bank, while maintaining the governance structure until the Annual General Meeting.

This is the second resignation in a few days, after the resignation of the Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of the Bank's Board of Directors was announced on August 5 Christos Themistokleous, with immediate effect.

The 50th Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of Hellenic Public Bank will take place, as announced, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

According to its Articles of Association of the Bank, any nominations for the position of the Bank's director may be submitted by Shareholders on August 4, 2024 until the close of business (2:30 p.m. Cyprus time) on August 30, 2024
