The company Dikran Ouzounian & Co. Ltd, official representative of Toyota cars in Cyprus, organized for the 11th consecutive year the Painting Competition for children up to 15 years old with the theme: “The car of your dreams”.
The Toyota Toyota Car World Painting Competition has been one of the most important institutions of the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in recent years. For this reason, the institution has expanded and continues to take place in more than 86 countries around the world, including Cyprus.
Through the “Toyota Dream Car” painting competition, TOYOTA gives children the opportunity to paint the car of their dreams, freeing their imagination and creativity, claiming the first place! Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and the 2nd lockdown, the interest shown by the little friends of TOYOTA for this year's competition was relatively reduced, since only 435 designs were submitted .
The winners of 2020 together with the winners of 2021 will be able to claim a distinction in this year's world competition, since last year's winning designs will be sent this year along with those of 2021 to Japan for evaluation. (Due to Covid-19, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) was unable to host last year's global painting competition, so countries held only local competitions for 2020.)
It is worth noting that now the prizes of the World Competition have changed since this year instead of the standard trip to Japan, the 5 winners of the competition will receive: $ 5000 o each to be spent for educational purposes, but also $ 10000 will be awarded to their school for strengthening their educational work.
The contestants were divided into three age categories, with the first category including designs for children up to 8 years old, the second with children from 8-11 years old and finally the third category with children from 12-15 years old. Initially, the contestants submitted their paintings, which were evaluated by the jury, which consisted of people from the field of art. The jury then selected the three best paintings from each category.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to perform the standard award ceremony due to the restrictive measures of Covid-19. For this reason, TOYOTA proceeded with smaller awards, per category.
