The “red and white” returned to three points by keeping the team of Katokopia at bay

New Salamina beat Doxas 2-0 in “Ammochostos” and returned to winning ways league results. The game was largely decided on Siskowski's tragic mistake in the 48th minute and his red card. Then the pitch went down and New Salamina with Diagite (67) and Doregarai (78 with a penalty) took the 3 points, keeping the Katokopia team stuck at the bottom without a point.
First Half
The match started at a good pace, with both teams showing a desire to play football. Doxa appeared with a different formation, which helped them to surprise Nea Salamina by creating two chances in the first fifteen minutes, but in both cases the Doxa players found Melissa in front of them, who told them no.
Afterwards, New Salamina reacted by creating opportunities as well, but found Siskowski facing Kone's header after a corner kick. He had two more chances in the 20th minute with Doregarai and Leuko but neither of them managed to find the target. In general, it was a very well-paced and balanced game where both teams created opportunities.

Second Half
The second half started with a big blunder by Doxa goalkeeper Siskowski in the 48th minute when he tried to dribble past Durmisai but lost the ball, then committed the foul that earned him the red card, leaving his team with ten men for almost the whole the second half.
After the red, the game changed with the field going downhill beyond Nea Salamina. The phases followed each other. New Salamina found their first goal in the 68th minute when after a cross from Leuko, Diagite got his head and sent the ball into the net.
New Salamina continued to press and Doregarai in the 78th minute hit execution of a penalty writing the final 2-0 putting an end to the case of victory. In the last quarter the two teams simply waited for the match to end since everything had been decided.
