Sales of petroleum products decreased by 19.1%

Total sales of petroleum products decreased by 19.1% in the period January – November 2020, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, according to the Statistical Service.

In November 2020, total sales of petroleum products reached 94,608 tons, a decrease of 21.0% compared to November 2019.

According to the Statistical Service, there was a decrease in the supply of oil on planes by 66.0%, as well as in the sales of gasoline by 15.9% and diesel by 4.6%.

Regarding in particular the sales from oil stations, they showed a decrease of 8.9% to 52,292 tons.

In addition, total sales of petroleum products in November 2020 compared to October 2020 fell by 10.5%. A decrease of 46.0% was observed in the supplies of oil on airplanes by 46.0% and on ships by 10.6%, as well as in the sales of light fuel oil by 43.3%, petrol by 17.1% and diesel by 8.4%. On the contrary, there was an increase in sales of clean and crude oil and LPG.

Finally, total oil reserves at the end of November 2020 increased by 12.1% compared to the end of the previous month.
