Large discrepancies are seen in the highest and lowest prices of products recorded in the Consumer Staples Watch, published by the Consumer Protection Agency for the month of August.
Specifically, consumers can find the same product, up to… twice the price. These discrepancies are found, among others, in cold meats such as loincloth, turkey and bacon, in a dozen eggs, in legumes such as lentils, in fresh milk, in yogurt, in cheese (cream cheese and slices of Edam and Gouda cheese) and in pasta (spaghetti).
Price differences are recorded by product in tables published by the Consumer Protection Service.
