<p> A special digital platform has been implemented by the Ministry of Tourism, which will give the opportunity to those in charge to follow the comments of each visitor on the internet, for each tourism business in Cyprus. He stated this to <strong> Politis 107.6 & amp; 97.6 </strong> and the show <strong> “Morning Inspection” </strong> by the <strong> Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, </strong>explaining that in this way they will be able to address the companies and push them to improve. </p>
<p> According to Mr. Perdios, this platform will enable the Undersecretariat to define more targeted its own policies with the ultimate aim of improvement. He noted that through the digital platform will be given the opportunity to compare between areas on the island, but also between tourist destinations abroad. In addition, those in charge will learn the views and criticisms of each nationality. </p>
<p><strong> Forget 2019 </strong> </p>
<p> 70-75% in the first four months of 2019 (which is considered to be the best tourist year we have ever had), in terms of arrivals tourists in Cyprus, according to the Deputy Minister of Tourism. Mr. Perdios considered that it is not a bad start, considering the fact that the war in Ukraine started at that time. </p>
<p>The Undersecretary, however, explained that the data should not be taken in the base of 2019, since now with the data of the time we can not expect similar numbers (4 million arrivals in 2019). He added that in 2019 we should forget about it, since “these seasons are over and no one knows when we will see them again.” </p>
<p> Asked how to cover the losses from the Russian market, at least for this year, the Undersecretary made it clear that they will not be covered. He noted that out of the 800 thousand, 200-250 thousand may be covered by other markets. </p>
