Sensors sunk in the area of Ayia Napa Marinalast month they will provide early detection of marine pollution units, in the context of a pilot program implemented by TEPAK and which is the result of cooperation between the Bank of Cyprus and the NGO CYMEPA.
As the Bank of Cyprus states in its announcement, the findings for marine water pollution will now be based on actual numerical data, as the indicators that will demonstrate sea pollution will result from the implementation of the pilot program for the early detection of marine pollution units.
The pilot program implemented by the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and is the result of the cooperation of the Bank of Cyprus and NGO CYMEPA in the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility and the pillar for the Environment, will create a national system of control of the quality of marine waters.< /p>
Actions and measures will be taken according to the results that will be issued, in order to ensure the protection of the environment, not only for the area of Ayia Napa, but also for other coasts of Cyprus, states the announcement.
