Seven signs that you got coronavirus but did not realize it!

Many around you have been diagnosed with Covi-19, but you feel like a partridge.

You may be one of the lucky ones to have avoided the infection, but you may have been infected but the symptoms were mild or non-existent.

The Jerusalem Post gathered seven possible indications that you had coronavirus but did not realize it.

1. You were sick but not examined

Unlike previous variants of coronavirus, Omicron symptoms tend to be mild in fully vaccinated individuals and some people do not have significant symptoms. If you did not feel sick enough to get tested, you may have had a coronavirus and recovered without knowing it.

2. You thought you had the flu, but it was Flurona

You had a fever for days, a cough and you were exhausted, but the doctor did not diagnose the flu. It may have been Omicron, because the flu season and the pandemic coincided. This year, doctors are finding cases of Flurona – a simultaneous infection with the flu and coronavirus.

Dr. Navad Davidovic, director of the Ben Gurion University School of Public Health and a member of the epidemiological team advising the Israeli Ministry of Health on the virus, told CNN that the flu is currently on the rise, along with an increase in morbidity. there is a high probability of combined infection.

Both the flu and SARS-CoV-2 are viruses that cause similar symptoms: cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever, headache and fatigue. Both are transmitted by droplets released into the air when a patient speaks, breathes or coughs.

3. You have thick hair loss

Unusually severe hair loss may be due to a previous infection. A study published in The Lancet about a year ago found that 22% of Covid-19 patients suffer from hair loss six months after infection, with women at higher risk.

The researchers, who looked at various long-term symptoms of the virus, found that 359 of the 1,655 patients in Wuhan suffered from hair loss. According to their findings, hair loss is a primary symptom of long Covid, along with fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness and joint pain.

4. You had cases in the family

If everyone in your family was sick except you, you may have been infected and did not know it. Many have mild or no symptoms and Omicron appears to be milder than other variants, especially in vaccinated individuals.

5. You had stomach problems

Covid-19 is a respiratory disease, but this does not mean that all patients cough or have shortness of breath. For some, diarrhea may be the first and only sign of infection. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added diarrhea to its list of symptoms.

According to NBC, people with a weakened immune system or immunosuppression are more likely to develop diarrhea or other gastrointestinal-related symptoms following an omicron infection. Experts at Johns Hopkins Hospital note that about 20% may develop diarrhea shortly after infection.

6. You have an eye infection

Conjunctivitis can be a symptom of the virus but is very rare, according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. The first reports of red eyes as a sign of coronavirus appeared in late March, when Chelsea Ernest, a nurse working in a nursing home where 50 of the 180 elderly people became infected with the virus and 37 died, said that all patients with the virus had red eyes.

He told CNN: “This is something I have found in everyone. “Their eyes looked like they were suffering from allergies.” He added that in patients, “the white part of the eye was not red. It was more like they had red shadows on the outside of the eye. “We had patients whose red eyes were the only symptom we saw, and they went to the hospital and died there.”

7. You suffered from a strange rash or infection on your toes

A small Spanish study identified five types of rashes associated with Covid-19 in patients admitted to different hospitals. According to the findings, the rash occurs mainly in young patients and lasts for several days.

Although the rash is a very symptom of some viruses, the researchers said they were surprised to see a large number and variety of rash types in patients with coronavirus. There are many reports of the so-called Covid toe, a rash that appears on the toes even in the absence of other symptoms. However, study leader Dr. Ignacio Garcia-Doble said the most common form was the macular rash, in which small red dots or flat red bumps appear on the upper body.
