TAE Paphos is investigating a case of securing money with false representations against a 44-year-old man.
According to the Police, it was reported by a 47-year-old woman that at the beginning of January 2017 she agreed with a 44-year-old man from Paphos to supply her with three cars from England for purchase.
For this purpose, the complainant gave the 44-year-old the amount of money around 40,000 euros that concerned the total value of the three vehicles.
The 44-year-old, however, according to the allegations of the complainant, did not comply with the agreements, as a result of which the above amount was appropriated. At some point, she returned a sum of money, amounting to 11,000 euros, but since then she has not responded to the complainant's calls.
For this reason, the Paphos Crime Investigation Department requested the issuance of an arrest warrant against the 44-year-old, which was approved. The 44-year-old was searched but was not located and is wanted.
The exams are continued by TAE Paphos.
