The new queen is Christiana Charalambous
The Municipality of Limassol, following a unanimous decision of the Municipal Council dated January 11, 2024, announced in a Facebook post that the Queen of this year's Limassol Carnival is Christiana Charalambous, a genuine Carnivalist with many years of participation in the Limassol Carnival.
Christiana is a physical education teacher and modern dance teacher. She has been involved in the city's events for decades, not just as a Carnival girl, but also taking part in charity and other events and national anniversary parades, while also organizing school traditional dance events.
Her love for carnival began in childhood. She distinguished herself for her participation in the children's parades receiving first prizes as a kindergarten student, while she participated for a number of years in the parades, both as a member of the team of Toula Sykopetritou and in the escort of the Carnival King under the supervision of the late Lula Siosmith. Since 2001, she has continuously participated in the parades with her own team or float.
Besides her active participation in the events of Limassol, Christiana is also distinguished for her voluntary, charitable participation, helping fellow citizens of all ages who are in need.
