After yesterday's solemn presentation of Michalis Ppekri as a candidate for the Larnaca Municipality, the president of the party also came out yesterday for statements on the occasion of the meeting in Parliament on the issue of Local Self-Government, knowing how she would receive questions about internal party matters as well.
She directed her fire at the Government for the responsibility of implementing the reform and also answered what was asked about DISY. It is obvious that, in addition to everything else, the president of the party wants to come forward herself to send a message – an answer to those who question her after and what preceded all this time.

During the session, Mayor Aradippou Evangelos officially announced his candidacy. Evangelidis for the presidency of the Provincial Organization of Larnaca formally closing all the outstanding issues that existed. This made it possible for the discussion at the party's Executive Office to be spent, as our information indicates, on the communication and organizational planning of the party's pre-election campaign. and it was agreed that everyone should work for the best possible promotion of his candidacy.

After the conference came the announcement of the party for Michalis Perkis, Evangelos Evangelidis and the candidate municipal councilors. The only outstanding issue in the province of Larnaca is the Municipality of Dromolaxia-Meneou.
In her statements to the Parliament, Annita Dimitriou tried to put the internal party issues perfectly, still talking about election stakes for the party.
Asked if she considers that the cycle of introversion in DISY has been closed and if the party is ready for the upcoming election, Mrs. Dimitriou said that after completing its proposals, the party is now ready to discuss the political stakes and the importance of the elections, but also to talk to the citizens about how exactly Cyprus benefits by securing the European perspective, but also each individual citizen, from the implementation of a major reform.

Of course, it is clarified that even if Annita Dimitriou's proposal is passed into law, it will not be applied in this European elections but in the next one, ie in 2029.
