Six arrests by police for stealing a G3 military rifle from a house in Limassol

Members of the Limassol Police Department stopped yesterday morning, a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old in an area of Limassol.

A search of the vehicle, according to the Police, revealed a shoulder bag containing burglar tools (hood, ax, screwdrivers, etc.), a laptop, collectible foreign coins, a set of keys, three broken mobile phones. as well as other items for which he did not give satisfactory explanations for their possession and was arrested for the spontaneous offense of illegal possession of property.

Further investigations revealed that the 23-year-old was involved in a burglary and theft case, committed between August 21-23, 2021, where a military rifle was stolen.

A subsequent search of the 23-year-old's home turned up a second 23-year-old, who according to the information under investigation, is also allegedly involved in the burglary.

The two suspects were arrested on warrants and remanded in custody to facilitate investigations.

The arrest of four people was preceded yesterday by members of the Police and by court decrees they were detained for seven days, in connection with an investigated case of burglary and theft of a G3 military rifle. The case is being investigated by the Limassol TAE.
