The obligations of the contenders for a place in the six for the 19th game were completed on Sunday (30/1) with APOEL getting a difficult, but precious three-pointer against Doxa.
The blue and yellows climbed to 27 points and caught Anorthosis in sixth place in the standings (they have the same number of games, with “Kyria” excelling in the tie), while they were at -1 from Paphos (+1 match) and Omonia (+2 races).
That is, now only one point separates the four teams that claim the three “open” tickets of the first group, waiting of course for the postponed games (PAEEK-APOEL, Anorthosis-Aris, APOEL-Anorthosis, Doxa-Paphos) and while they are just pending three races to complete the first phase!
Based on the points, but also the number of matches left in each team, Omonia is still in the most difficult position (the only one that does not have a match in hand), but in no case has the slightest one been judged, as pending and matches between the four contenders (Paphos-Anorthosis, APOEL-Anorthosis, Omonia-APOEL) and each of these games can significantly change the data.
