The CSE closed Thursday with losses, with the General Index falling to 179.16 points, showing a daily change of -0.43%.

The FTSE/CySE 20 Index recorded losses 0.45% closing at 109.09 points. The daily turnover was €790,192.

All individual stock market indices moved down. The biggest losses were in the Investment sector with 2.63%, followed by Hotels with 0.94%, the Main Market with 0.62% and the Alternative Market with 0.19%.

Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €702,049 (up 0.21% – closing price €4.85). Followed by the shares of Logicom Public Ltd with €40,408 (no change – closing price €3.00), Demetra Holdings Plc with €22,119 (down 2.62% – closing price €1.30), Petrolina (Holdings) Plc with €7,085 (down 1.16% – closing price €0.85) and of KEO PLC with €5,090 (no change – closing price €2.20).

Of the shares traded, four moved up, five down and six unchanged. The number of transactions amounted to 159.

Meanwhile, the CSE announced that the issued share capital of the listed company BANK OF CYPRUS HOLDINGS PLC (BOCH/TRKI), which amounted to €44,412,825.20 divided into 444,128,252 ordinary shares with a nominal value of €0.10, has been reduced in €44,399,316.80 divided into 443,993,168 ordinary shares with a nominal value of €0.10, based on the company's decision, due to the cancellation of 135,084 shares held by the company, through the share buyback program.

Besides, the Council of the Stock Exchange, in its recent session, ratified, based on Article 184 of the CSE Law, the decision to suspend the trading of the shares of the NEA Agora companies, as announced on August 19, 2024, i.e. Mr. Pengu Public Company Ltd, Rianeson Investments Plc, G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Public Ltd and Meditrina Cyprus Plc.

The trading suspension of the shares of these companies will last for 2 months (ie until October 22, 2024) or sooner if the companies comply with their ongoing ongoing obligation to submit and publish their Annual Financial Report for the year ended 31/12/2023, as already announced.

He also ratified the decision to suspend the trading of the shares of the Regulated Market companies, A. Tsokkos Hotels Public Ltd, Dome Investments Public Company Ltd, Unifast Finance & Investments Public Company Ltd and Karyes Investments Public Company Ltd.

As reported, the trading suspension of the companies' shares will last for 2 months (ie until October 21, 2024) or sooner if the companies comply with the their ongoing ongoing obligation to submit and publish their Annual Financial Report for the year ending 12/31/2023, as already announced.
