Every day more and more intense is the conflict between the two major parties, DISY and AKEL, which are engaged in a war of announcements and statements, a strong aroma of the election campaign.
The political scene has “caught fire” even if we are 16 whole months before the upcoming Presidential elections, in an effort of the two major parties to unite their audience.
In recent days, the paper war between the two parties has been based on corruption, with AKEL usually launching an attack against DISY and the Government in relation to the Pandora Papers and what is written in the documents about President Anastasiadis.
On the other hand, the Government and DISY respond with the deadly explosion of Marie, with the scandal of Dromolaxia as well as the financial crisis of 13, blaming the party of the left.
Today, another pre-election controversy took place, with AKEL, through the party's spokesman, launching new fire against the backdrop of the “golden passports” and the Pandora Papers. “The session of the Parliamentary Committee on Institutions confirmed that, as in the golden passports, so in the case of the Pandora Papers, the root of the country's broadcasting lies in Nikos Anastasiadis himself. It is the party that during their days the “entrepreneurship” of the shell companies grew, hence their protest when the government decided to close their accounts in 2018.
Unfortunately for Hezekiah Papaioannou, no matter how many actions they take, they do not collect the uncollected. And let them never forget that. “Because the citizens remember it”, DISY concluded.
It is a given that the two parties will continue in intense pre-election rhythms until the opening of the polls. The big question is whether the citizens can endure and tolerate another 16 months of paper war!
