Solidarity announced 3 more candidates

Three more candidates, who are included in the ballot for the parliamentary elections in May, announced the Solidarity Movement.

For the province of Famagusta, Solidarity announced the candidacy of Dr. Siamaros Andreas, consultant for studies, quality and development.

Dr. Siamaros Andreas is a refugee from the occupied villages of Trikomo and Spathariko in the Province of Famagusta.

He obtained a degree in Technical Engineering from the Higher Technological Institute (ATI), in the field of Electrical Engineering. He continued his studies in the United Kingdom where he was awarded the BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering (First Class), postgraduate Mphil (tr) and PhD in wireless telecommunications systems and 5th generation networks. In June 2020 he obtained a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Management from the University of Nicosia. The greatest award and recognition as a scientist was made with the awarding of the First World Prize as a result of pioneering measurements in 5th generation wireless networks and after which they find application today in Digital Transformation. He has published over 40 scientific articles.

He has won three consecutive awards from the UK Institute of Engineering and Technology, which is under the ROYAL CHAPTER. Returning to Cyprus, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Physics of the University of Cyprus and a research associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus.

He was integrated with the Department of Engineering of the University of Nicosia (Intercollege) as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.

He has served as Deputy Director of Research and Development, and Coordinator of the Erasmus office at PA College, Larnaca. He was a research associate with the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Nicosia and a Special Scientist with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) where he taught Telecommunication Systems.

His passion for research led him to take over as Director of Research and Development at the Cyprus Foundation for Studies and Research (KIME) and Head of Academic Development and Quality at UCLan Cyprus University.

The last 6 years (2015-2021) deals mainly with issues of Development and Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

The candidacy of Kiki Griva, head of the clinical laboratory of Makarios Hospital, was also announced for the Province.

Kiki Griva was born and raised in Nicosia, is a relative of General Georgios Grivas Digenis and the son of Charilaos Grivas from Trikomo and Irini Iakovou from Cairo.

After graduating from the Pancyprian High School she started her studies at the Medical School of Cairo University where I received the 1st degree MBBCH. Due to the political situation in Egypt, she was forced to continue her studies at Concordia & McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she received a degree in Laboratory Medicine, while obtaining a degree in Nutrition from the same university.

He also has a degree in piano and music from the National Conservatory of Athens and speaks English and French.

Today she works in the Clinical Laboratory of Makarios Hospital as the head of the Clinical Laboratory. All these years he was active in various associations while he was Vice President of the Sectoral Hospital Laboratories and in which he remains to this day as a member.

She has two children. George, 33, a law school graduate, and Danae, 27, a multimedia graduate. The aim of her candidacy with the Solidarity Movement is to help with all her strength to raise our country to the point it deserves after the fall in which it has fallen after misguided actions, which find it completely opposite.

She feels that her candidacy is not a dream come true but an obligation, as she believes that the lack of a clear business reason, with genuine motivation inspired by high moral and patriotic ideals, is significantly responsible for the current painful situation in our Cyprus.

In the ballot for the province of Nicosia, the Solidarity Movement also announced Christos Dimitriadis, environmental secretary of the Solidarity Movement.

Christos Dimitriadis was born on 27/10/1964 in Kampos, Tsakkistra, Nicosia province.

He is a final year student of the Pancyprian High School in the positive sciences. He completed his military service in 1985 at Lakatamia Air Force.

After his dismissal he became an international transport guide until 2000. In 2000 he specialized in Oklahoma America in the company Berky for installation of wind turbines, maintenance and combination with renewable energy sources of solar and air.

From 2002 to 2006 he worked in the undergrounding of high and low voltage electrical cables as a partner in the Cyprus Electricity Authority.

By 2013 he had returned to international routes (Europe, Asia and the Middle East). Since 2013 he has been dealing with agricultural and environmental issues such as the cultivation of medicinal herbs until today.

From 2016 until today he is environmental secretary of the Solidarity Movement and a member of the Euro-agricultural.

He has participated in trips to Greece and Israel to exchange knowledge on agricultural issues. He attended forester workshops. He is a volunteer in firefighting.

Participates in environmental sessions of the parliament. His interests include, among others, participation in motor sports as a competitor, as a mastermind and as a race judge (from 1987 to 2006). He is a lover of nature and the forest and believes in the coexistence of environment and man.
