Blessed Makariotatos, who here and for about four years he bravely and stoically fought a great battle with cancer, he finally passed away today, at the age of 81.
His health had deteriorated significantly since the beginning of October, with the same to keep his public appearances to a minimum until he was confined to bed. As is well known, in recent years due to the adventure with his health, the head of the Cypriot Church has undergone a series of treatments and operations, both in Cyprus and abroad.
