The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare announces the start of the 1974 Prisoners of War Care Scheme, which is being expanded following a decision of the Council of Ministers dated 08/11/2023, covering also the parents of the fallen or the missing, the widows of fallen and the wives of the missing.
According to the Plan, for the beneficiaries who need care, financial data (deposits) up to twenty thousand euros (€20,000) and annual family income up to twenty three thousand euros (€23,000) will not be taken into account.
Beneficiaries are provided with either a partial home care allowance, a full home care allowance, or part of the institutional care allowance. If deemed necessary, an allowance for specialized needs is also provided.
The care allowance will be granted to beneficiaries by the Welfare Allowance Management Service (YDEP) of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare.
Application forms can be obtained from the YDEP website. Applications can be submitted at any Pangypria Welfare Benefit Service Point, after arranging an appointment online through the YDEP website, or by phone (free call) through the KE.PO call center. on 8000 2000 (option 2).
