Following a relevant decision of the Council of Ministers regarding state aid to pigs, poultry farmers, cow breeders and rabbit breeders, the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization informs that state aid will be paid to:
• Pig breeders (breeding and fattening farms, breeding farms only, fattening farms only)
• Poultry farmers (poultry, egg-laying hens, breeding hens and quails)
Rabbit breeders. which has received the relevant approval from the European Commission on 28/2/2022.
The aid will be paid in accordance with the data of responsible holdings and animal populations that will be forwarded to KOAP by the Veterinary or other competent Services and provided that the conditions and eligibility criteria mentioned in the plan are met. Payment of the aid will not require applications from the beneficiaries.
If you do NOT wish to participate in the Scheme, you must declare it in writing to the relevant District Office of KOP, no later than 06/04/2022, so that KOP does not proceed with the payment of the aid to you.
Potential beneficiaries of the following categories should submit to the Provincial Agricultural Offices of the Department of Agriculture no later than 06/04/2022, the following, if applicable:
• Pig farmers with pig fattening farms, will must provide invoices for the purchase of piglets for the period 1/9/2020 – 31/8/2021
• Poultry farmers with poultry farms should present the necessary invoices for the purchase of chicks for the period 1/9/2020 – 31/8/2021.
The per capita aid is distributed as follows:
(a) Pig farming: the aid will not exceed 108 euros per sow for the cases of units that have reproduction and fattening. Holdings that have only reproduction or only fattening are also eligible for support with the amount of aid varying according to 1/6 & nbsp; (18 euros) for breeding and 5/6 (90 euros) for fattening.
(b) Cow breeding:
Aid 1: the aid will not exceed 35 euros per female animal over 2 years with a reference date of 1/9/2021.
Aid 2: the aid will not exceed 9 euros per male animal under 1 year and over 2 months with a reference date on 1/9/2021.
(c) Poultry:
Meat production aid: the aid will not exceed 0.38 euros per chick placed for a batch, provided that the maximum permissible breeding density is observed in accordance with the Animal Protection and Welfare Regulations of 2011 (K.D.P. 68/2011).
Egg production aid: the aid will not exceed 0.54 euros per active position with reference date 1/1/2021, provided that the maximum allowable capacity for each booth is observed in accordance with the Animal Protection and Welfare (protection of laying hens) Regulations of 2003 (KDP 761/2003).
Breeding aid: the aid will not exceed EUR 0.81 per active post with reference date 1/1/2021.
Aid for quail holdings: the aid will not exceed EUR 0.09 per active position with reference date 1/1/2021. & nbsp;
(d) Rabbit breeding: the aid will not exceed 2.80 euros per rabbit mother with reference date 1/1/2021. & nbsp;
The total aid per beneficiary for the categories of pig and poultry can not exceed 125,000 euros.
