It was on November 1, 2016, when the common life built together by the composer, Stavros Xarchakos and the singer, Iro Saia, passed into its new chapter. The couple had their twin children, Stavros and Maria Izoldi, that day.
Iro Saia and Stavros Xarchakos met in 2008 at a concert in Cyprus, while in 2012 they collaborated on a musical performance and the relationship evolved from a collaboration to a beautiful love story. They got married in 2015 in a small church in Varkiza and the next year they became parents.
Their two children, Maria Izoldi and Stavros, grew up in a house full of music, watched their father and mother in rehearsals and concerts and at the age of 5.5 today, they are completely familiar with the scene. This is proved by their presence on the stage of Stavros Xarchakos's concert at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, which took place a few days ago.
In this concert, Stavros Xarchakos presented his compositions, on the occasion of the completion of 35 years of operation of the Municipal Radio of Piraeus, while Iro Saia sang some of his favorite songs, along with the singer Zacharias Karounis. The concert was also the occasion for a rare family appearance of the couple with their two children, who took the stage during a speech by Stavros Xarchakos after the end of the concert.
For the two young children, who she was holding in her arms at the recent concert, Iro Saia, had made a touching post a few months ago on her personal Instagram account. The occasion was their 5th birthday.
“November 1st, the day you came to life, the day that is now the biggest celebration for us! “Our droplets – which from birth showed their stubbornness since they chose to leave a month earlier – grew up and became two cute little people who talk, have an opinion and show us other aspects of life, but also of ourselves”, wrote Hero Saia posting a photo where she and Stavros Xarchakos hold their children in their arms when they were still babies.
