Public transport in the occupied territories will stop tomorrow, after the two unions Kar-İş and KTTTB, decided to protest in this way for the increase of fuel.

In their common “After the sharp rise in fuel prices, we have reached a consensus that it is not possible to carry out public transport,” the statement said. The two unions said the strike would be a general one. the “fire of increases” outside the “prime minister” and considering this policy of increases “a ruthless, unconscious and irresponsible mentality”.

Responsible for the increases is the irresponsible “government”, said the president of KTAMS, Guven Bengihan, noting that the minimum wage used to be able to “fill the bellies”, but now it is not enough to be paid electricity. In total, he said, there have been 300% increases and those in charge are listening to nothing but the orders to distribute the chairs to the “ministerial”.

People are hungry and they are returning to Antalya, he added, referring to Ersin Tatar and the leaders of the “ruling” parties that are in the Turkish city for the 2nd Diplomatic Forum.

He announced that in the coming days civil society will react more vigorously.
