Its pre-pandemic levels exceeded in 2021 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which amounted to € 22.43 billion (fixed prices), showing a strong increase of 5.5%, compared to 2020.

Specifically, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Service, the & nbsp; GDP for 2021 is estimated at € 23,352.8 million at current prices compared to € 21,617.9 million in 2020 and at € 22,433.5 million in volume measurements (fixed prices) for the year 2021, compared to € 21,261 , 5 million in 2020. & nbsp;

The rate & nbsp; growth in real terms is estimated at 5.5% in 2021, compared to -5.0% in 2020. & nbsp; & nbsp;

In 2019, before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, GDP was to € 22,376.8 million.

According to the data, per capita GDP increased by 7% in 2021, to € 25,937, remaining, however, slightly lower than the € 26,090 it had risen in 2019. In 2020, per capita GDP had fallen to € 24,235.
