Support for more than 2400 students, amounting to more than 1 million euros, was provided by the Cyprus University of Technology Students' Welfare Association (TEPAK), which took place on Tuesday, November 29, in the hall of the University Senate, on the 6 General and Electoral Assembly.

The President of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Culture Mr. Pavlos Mylonas, the representative of the Metropolitan of Limassol Athanasios, Patir Filotheos, the Rector and the President of the Council of TEPAK, Professor Panagiotis Zafeiris and Dr. Christos Chomatas respectively, participated in the opening of the work of the Assembly. the outgoing President of the Union, Mr. Nikolas Iordanou and representatives of the Student Union of the University and the sponsors of the Union.

The outgoing President of the Union, Mr. Nikolas Iordanou, in his report stated, among other things, that “the main goal of the Welfare Association is to attract resources in the form of Scholarships and Awards for the effective support of the students of our University, who face serious financial problems, and without this help there would be an inability to respond, even in covering the their basic needs”.

He noted that “in recent years the Union has strengthened financially either in the form of Scholarships or in the form of financial support to a significant number of students of the Cyprus University of Technology, who were facing serious socio-economic problems”.
